To me it feels like he's starving for power (remnant) and when his source is cut off he's looking for the nearest source (the player).

Actually I think a lot of timeline elements already pointed to William not being the first to discover remnant (namely, some timeline interpretations placing the creation of the funtimes before the MCI, charlie, elisabeth and CC's death).

And let's not forget the toy phone collectible in SotM.

I suspect David Murray was born in 67 or 68, and Fiona died in 1970, then the kid probably died at age 5, so 72-73.

Also the name "David" bothers me.
If newer findings are correct, and the name spelled in the security logbook is indeed "Dave"... We assumed that was dave "afton", the victim of the bite of 83. But how likely is it that those two kids would share the same fate and name but not be the same character?

Question: If the mimic has been stuffing people into suits and killing them, including in animatronic suits, is it possible that he's responsible for *some* possession? Like some MCM or Fazbear employees haunting the prototype animatronics?

Supporting that is also the fact that when you beat moon.exe, the flavor text when you "defeat" him says that he "finds peace".

Also, ok, yes, M2 was controlling both Jackie and Dolly, but Top hat music man? I really really doubt it. Plus, top hat guy doesn't seem to always actively want to kill you. Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't. I suspect he's possessed.
