34) beat kurohyou 2: ashura hen (2012). I won't lie I only played these games because of the shonan no kaze song in 2 but it was worth it. the balance in this one is a little rough but I mean otherwise it's pretty fun. i liked the kamurocho and sotenbori gangs substories. goated final boss.

29) beat sonic unleashed (2008). idk I kinda liked the werehog stages I liked exploring for the medals. the music is so so good especially the night themes. I just wished they used better horn samples for some of the songs. also endless possibilities gotta be top 1 sonic songs.

28) beat shadow hearts (2001). just a great game. the judgement ring is one of my favourite mechanics ever in a jrpg. the horror is neat with both halves of the game having different aesthetics. the gorgeous pre-rendered backgrounds and music make the game feel so moody.

27) beat gungrave overdose (2004). it's like fine. it really is just hype moments and aura. I think it plays better than the first. I suck ass so the enemy layout in the second half didn't feel good to play through. it has some good tunes when they decide to have them and it's pretty stylish.

26) beat the PS2 remake of dragon quest v (2004). it's so fucking peam. I won't lie I picked this version because of the orchestral ost but it deserves to be heard this way. oh what a good story I loved experiencing our hero grow from a child to a family man. easily my favourite so dq game so far

22) rewatched char's counterattack (1988). I'm glad I waited for the theatrical rerelease it's just so fucking good. the music and the animation are just so so good on the big screen. the ending still has me tearing up this movie really is better on a rewatch.

20) beat venba (2023). low key this may be one of the best narrative experiences I've played. probably one of the few games I've played where the gameplay is such an integral part of the narrative. although that says more about the lack of variety in the game since played. it's super short but good

18) beat the pc-98 version of madou monogatari 1-2-3 (1991). just some real solid dungeon crawlers. this version has some great monster designs and the tunes sound great. sure I should've probably played the game gear versions since they have more content but they don't have decapitated schezo.

17) beat torneko the last hope (1999). this is the first mystery dungeon I've beaten (at least the main story) and yeah I get why people like them they're pretty fun. the magic dungeon is a little rough especially if you get unlucky and didn't grind to upgrade your stuff. still fun though

16) beat the ps2 version of atelier elie the alchemist of salburg 2 (2005). pretty much marie but expanded, so it's really good. some more events to do and characters to interact with. blend synthesis and original synthesis are neat additions even if they gave me flashbacks to my ochem 2 final.

15) beat the ps2 version of atelier marie the alchemist of salburg (2005). cute little game. you explore and synthesize stuff and do a little battling and fulfill requests. great characters too, definitely one of those games you replay to see all the other character stories that you missed out on.
