Rey's tiktok goes viral, and after a bit of sleuthing people realize it was star center Ben Solo, and now he's got his mom scolding him and half his teammates are teasing him as they offer "helpful" advice while he tries to convince Rey to give him a second chance
Just went on a date with a professional hockey player that was so bad I texted him immediately after and begged him not to go on another date to spare all women. Also told him I feel bad for his mama and his ex.

The Sabres just launched a beer sabre this season and I just think bad idea Rey would be all over this

Though Ben might spend half the second period worrying that she's about to start a fight using the sabre after the other team's center blatantly trips him and the refs don't call it 😂

Another twenty minutes, or maybe it was closer to forty, she wasn’t sure, passed before the door cracked open, and Rey could feel her heart leap up to her throat as she spun around, watching a very family tall, dark-haired man enter the room. Ben. Her pulse was racing, stomach tied up in knots, and all she could do was stare at him, drinking in the sight of his flushed cheeks, his hair damp and curling around his ears, and dimples appeared as he flashed her a cautious smile. He’d shed his skates and the outer layers of his uniform, leaving in him in just moisture wicking leggings and a shirt that hugged every muscle, and….and… and god, he was gorgeous. “Rey,” Ben said, swallowing and appearing just as nervous as she felt just then. “Sorry, I – I tried to get here sooner but I had media duties, and Coach wanted to talk to us, and –” Whatever Ben was going to say was cut off as Rey’s feet started moving on their own accord, and she found herself quickly closing the distance between them, everything else fading into the background as she pulled Ben into a tight hug. “Oh.”

It left her dizzy and breathless and it was probably a good thing she was currently leaning back against the wall with how weak her knees felt just then. “Oh god,” Rey said, her face flaming as she remembered all the comments she’d made over the years about certain hockey players and their glorious thighs – including the ones that were currently pressed against her. “Be a shame if you didn’t get to admire them up close.” “Well, Ushar is looking pretty good. Maybe I should go ask for a peak at his,” Rey said, laughing as she pushed off the wall, feigning that she was about to go find his teammate. “Fuck, you’re incorrigible,” Ben said with a growl, playfully caging her in place. It only made Rey laugh harder as she tugged on Ben’s hair, pulling him in for another kiss.

Lazy Saturday mornings with Rey were one of Ben's favorite things. She didn't know it yet, but there was a ring in his pocket, and as soon as they managed to stop kissing long enough to enjoy breakfast, he was going to ask if she'd spend forever with him

my mom (50F, divorced) called me back, absolutely giddy, to tell me she saw the neighbor she has a huge crush on (but has never spoken to) working outside in is yard, so she decided to bring him some of the sweet potatoes she had made for dinner, and then she said verbatim.. "i found out he's 29 and guess what he LOVED my sweet potatoes. he was hungry, kourt. nobody feeds that boy. NOBODY! he's always working out there. i told him 'you work so hard, you need to eat!' and he kept eating them!"
