With the alleged requirement for a religion in fantasy, why not use one that exists? If we can write fantasy in the existing world of today, why couldn't we use religions that exist?

I'm writing a 10k word story, and I'm about 4k in. Am I the only one that reaches this point and enjoys the characters so much, I just want to see what they do when left to their own devices? #writing #historicalfantasy
