There are intersections, but my experience was different as I wasn’t part of a design team. I was in an European company, it might have been different if it had been from the US (I’ve always felt design is better considered there). This quote resonates with me though.

I started ceramics not only to get away from the computer, but also as a way to deal with uncertainty and not pursue perfection. Although I still have a hard time accepting that what goes into the kiln is not going to turn out the way I want, mistakes sometimes are not errors.
