I've always felt the Gman was just Valve. He comes in at the end and apologises for it being over. Then in Alyx he appears and says "Gordon's boring, Alyx is the protagonist now." It's like Tom Bombadil being a Tolkien self-insert who tells the audience not to worry about anything it's just a story

I think laziness plays a role. They only have to sound smart enough for their investors. It's an ecosystem that selects for ridiculous language and over-promising.

Farscape Season 3

The peak of the show's run with an impossibly ambitious block of episodes that culminate in an insane finale. The commitment to story ultimately doomed the show's syndicated survival the following year, but for a brief shining moment it was better than anything else in its class

There's no way of telling which US politicians are secret nazis. The only reasonable option is to bin -all- US politicians and start again.

Centrist feels too good for Starmer. It implies he actually has an opinion when really he believes in absolutely nothing. Even with Trump you can say the guy has personal obsessions but Starmer doesn't appear to want anything but to be a lifeless sock puppet for the most cursed think-tanks in London

I hope people at the NYT are aware that one day they will appear in a Ross Doughnut article titled "Why my Colleagues Had to Go"

It is impossible for any living human not to have a historical connection to pretty much every long inhabited place on Earth. The idea that anyone has a pure line to anything is completely delusional

I always loved Revelations. It feels like it has the least fat of all the games. Just enough of everything. Constantinople is such a perfect place for an AC, and I love the novelty of Ezio being an old guy who just wants to wrap up and go home
