"Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."
One of many of your dad's quotes that always resonates with me:

"Besides, environmentalists don’t give a shit about the planet. Not in the abstract they don’t. You know what they’re interested in? A clean place to live. Their own habitat."

Getting ready to sand, stain, and finish an exposed beam in the house. I hope to take a pause from all the house rebuild before summer and get our art back on the walls. I do enjoy doing the work, though.

Is this the official UNFTR channel over here? If so, would you add it to your link list at the bottom of your main web page?

I hope you weren't hoping to never have snow anymore, but rather to not have 6 months of it.

Threads is another one that I haven't figured out where it might go and what purpose it might serve. But I do enjoy getting a slightly different perspective from you, about you, on there.

My social media is compartmentalized. I kind of enjoy that you cross across the spectrum of them all. Here's to seeing what this platform becomes.

Instagram is my inspiration platform. I follow artists such as you and others from the Montreal scene, some that I know from Salt Spring, and many street artists. I follow friends and others I have found who travel and post their wanderings.

Facebook tends to be more personal to me. Probably because I fit that age stereotype. People on there are, were, or I future hope to be part of my IRL world.

X is a dumpster fire, yet I think watching the dumpster burn gives insight on how some people feel about the world. I think it's important to know that and sometimes find connections to those fighting the good fight.

Same here as on other platforms, although I haven't figured out what part of my social media landscape BlueSky will serve, yet.

I'm very sorry this happened to you. I hope they will feel the photos are great and capture their memories well.

This takes me back to working with film. Never being certain about what you were going to get until after it was developed. I remember shooting a friend's wedding, and the flash timing was off for the set shots. Half of every image had a different exposure. Fortunately, the candids were all great.

Hello! Thought I'd join you over here (particularly since I'm considering stepping away from ❌️)
