...or when nothing big is breaking they could use the space to dig into more detail on these topics. Use real independent experts and take an in-depth look from different angles, fact check and highlight misinformation. Then utilise their budget to carry out real in depth hard hitting journalism.

And hopefully it stays that way! I'm very happy that he keeps on being brilliant for Villa, and staying under the radar, rather than getting the Rogers treatment and being linked with a different club each week.

Maybe crazy, but I am starting to think this is a genuine strategy. Short term stay relatively under the radar, let the rest fight it out, light a few fuses every so often and let reform stomp and shout. Then in 2 years time hope they can say while this lot wanged on we sorted the problems...
