unfortunately while 2FM is pretty much the definitive version of that game, 1FM adds/changes a lot of stuff that's just tedious, with the only real benefit being the combo modifiers

unfortunately this is a problem with final mix/rereleases because they gave him two different flinch counters that can both result in retaliating with fire pillars, whereas in the original he would always just teleport away until the last phase where he would counter with the spiral move
