You can create new laws or amendments to push back on this, but if the same bad faith politicians choose to ignore or pervert them, as Trump and his cronies do now, then they don't matter. These systems all require political willpower to be used, which is why protest and civil disobedience matter.

If you got a thermostat that could do 69.420 degrees you would never have to argue again.

Yeah. This doesn't absolve the weakness at times of the Democratic party and they deserve criticism, but this "be mad at everyone" mentality lacks nuance.

Your comment is glib and lacks critical thought. One party is creating an American Gestapo and kidnapping foreign leaders and being insanely bigoted as they rob the Treasury. The other party is bad at politics. You should be angrier at the party being psychotically evil.

It is nowhere near the same scale on the consumer level, even for high end graphics cards. The computational pull from AI and the associated electricity is way larger than the PS5 you play for a couple hours a day. I mean just look at the size of the power supplies/batteries of consoles.

The "coal" argument is so lazy (like most right-wing talking points). Most grids aren't powered by just one source, and even if it was entirely fossil fuels, centralized fossil fuel electricity production which is then passed on to the EV still produces less CO2.

If this is sincere it has to be one of the dumbest takes I have ever heard. You can't stealth win an election.

I think the reason MTG is being critical is less of a crisis of conscience and more of a political posture. She sees the tea leaves but she has not fundamentally changed.
