Not only that, someone has to be willing to risk taking the first step and everything in order to do so.
Mind you, by trying to "arrest" someone, these "agents" could be forcing these poor people's hands and putting the wheels in motion as they attempt to take everything from them anyway.

The are shades of grey here, don't be so disingenuous about this being so black and white. The child has rights, but they don't superceded those of the mother, and not in all circumstances.

Exactly what I mean. I know it's astigmatism and I thought the picture was a reasonable approximation of it, hence asking why you thought it wasn't. I guess it comes down to interpretation and individual experience.

Tap on their image or name to go to their profile. Then the three dots next to the follow button. It brings up options including mute and block.

Mute is instantaneous, block will get you a confirm prompt.

However it seems there a software bug and you need to refresh the posts to have them removed

You haven't seen the horrible and hate filled rubbish some are vomiting onto Twitter. they deserve to be isolated from others and if they won't get isolated, then enforcing your own boundaries will have to suffice.
November 24, 2024 at 1:56 PM
Less a self own and more claiming a little bit back for yourself as you are pushing that out of your space. Some people were truly disgusting on there.
It's akin to being in a room with an abuser saying "you don't get to walk away from me". Wrong, they do.
November 24, 2024 at 1:53 PM
You mean not to be verbally abused? That is a reason many have turned their backs on twitter.
November 24, 2024 at 1:41 PM
I would have said mute so they are yelling into the void and not getting the satisfaction of any engagement.
November 24, 2024 at 1:37 PM
Don't be abusive and people won't turn their backs to you.
November 24, 2024 at 1:36 PM
Or mute. They can't tell that you cannot see them and they will get zero engagement

Try harder, you can fit more trigger phrases in there if you really put some effort in.
November 24, 2024 at 1:30 PM
More like you can choose to either continually have to deal with people abusing you badly, or you can disengage and go elsewhere where you are encouraged to choose your own adventure.
November 24, 2024 at 1:25 PM
I have one because it is still unfortunately the best avenue to contact some companies. That plus my wife send me funny cat, sloth and capybara gifs.

Don't have to tell others how to think or feel as having autonomous control of that is a right we all have, just like having a belief system. You can discuss, debate or interact. That doesn't give anyone the right to be a douche.
November 24, 2024 at 12:33 PM
It's not communism, it's just setting boundaries and not letting the excess negativity get to you. Everyone has a right to not be forced to deal with abusive behaviour.
November 24, 2024 at 12:26 PM
As I wrote elsewhere, having a disagreement doesn't automatically mean the other person is toxic or needlessly nasty & can sometimes lead to good discussion.

People whom are just here to be negative or abuse you for a different political preference are toxic and worth blocking for no other reason
November 24, 2024 at 12:22 PM
Golly that sounds rather toxic.
November 24, 2024 at 12:17 PM
Well there's the door, no-one here is going to stop you. A lot of people here are happy to avoid the toxicity that has enveloped Twitter and just aren't interested in your shit birding either.

Disagreement is one thing. Sometimes it can lead to a good discussion. But people that are here just to get a rise out of others and just make life unpleasant for others aren't worth wasting a moment on.
November 24, 2024 at 12:13 PM
Try going to truth or something.
November 24, 2024 at 12:08 PM
Staring at your belly button lint is a better use of your time than replying and giving them something to work with.

It's nice now I've worked out how to block and mute.
November 24, 2024 at 12:07 PM
It's sad that you are investing so much in "trying to own the libs" here when they honestly don't care.

Muted.
November 24, 2024 at 12:05 PM
So nothing better to do on a Sunday huh?
November 24, 2024 at 12:02 PM
I went for a literal explanation as some without this might genuinely not get what those with astigmatism see. It blew my kids minds when I got a visual comparison like this for them to get an idea of what I see.
November 24, 2024 at 11:09 AM
Astigmatism can be corrected to a point, but is basically impossible to eliminate totally. I've sat in an optometrist chair for a long time as they tried to dial it in. But there is a point of diminishing returns where you just can't seem to get it any better. I got to about 95%, and that's about it
