The are shades of grey here, don't be so disingenuous about this being so black and white. The child has rights, but they don't superceded those of the mother, and not in all circumstances.

Exactly what I mean. I know it's astigmatism and I thought the picture was a reasonable approximation of it, hence asking why you thought it wasn't. I guess it comes down to interpretation and individual experience.

Mute is instantaneous, block will get you a confirm prompt.
However it seems there a software bug and you need to refresh the posts to have them removed

You haven't seen the horrible and hate filled rubbish some are vomiting onto Twitter. they deserve to be isolated from others and if they won't get isolated, then enforcing your own boundaries will have to suffice.

I have one because it is still unfortunately the best avenue to contact some companies. That plus my wife send me funny cat, sloth and capybara gifs.

Don't have to tell others how to think or feel as having autonomous control of that is a right we all have, just like having a belief system. You can discuss, debate or interact. That doesn't give anyone the right to be a douche.

It's not communism, it's just setting boundaries and not letting the excess negativity get to you. Everyone has a right to not be forced to deal with abusive behaviour.

As I wrote elsewhere, having a disagreement doesn't automatically mean the other person is toxic or needlessly nasty & can sometimes lead to good discussion.
People whom are just here to be negative or abuse you for a different political preference are toxic and worth blocking for no other reason

I went for a literal explanation as some without this might genuinely not get what those with astigmatism see. It blew my kids minds when I got a visual comparison like this for them to get an idea of what I see.

Astigmatism can be corrected to a point, but is basically impossible to eliminate totally. I've sat in an optometrist chair for a long time as they tried to dial it in. But there is a point of diminishing returns where you just can't seem to get it any better. I got to about 95%, and that's about it
