But, Nine Inch Nails did their job. The music was excellent. The visual effects department also did their job. I thought it was a great 3D experience. But, they couldn't be met half way by people who had 15 years to think about this.

And, if the goal here was to ease new fans into this and make Tron accessible, I would think the 5-10 minutes of info dumping the story so far in the beginning was a terrible way to go about it.

I agree with a lot of this. I thought it was an okay enough experience but I don't like that the story boiled down to a simple MacGuffin plot that every blockbuster like this falls into because people seem to be incapable of writing anything deeper.

The piano roll is okay, I don't have issues with that. But the whole rack interface you use to place your soft synths or audio channels is not possible to organize in any meaningful way.

I feel that way using Reason sometimes that I wish I could take the time to learn Ableton or just switch back to FL, but I've become so accustomed to it, I feel like it's hard to.
