So this year
Im praying it will be kinder
Im praying for better days
For moments of peace
For reasons to smile without faking it
I don’t need everything to be perfect
I just need relief
I just need a year that doesn’t hurt the way the last one did

Im still feeling it now
The exhaustion
The fear
The quiet ache it left behind
Last year took more from me than I was ready to give
And im still learning how to breathe after it
