It became an amazingly sweet and powerful part of the game. The smaller moments became much more powerful even outside of a system, like Smallville, that makes those more important.

One of the things we discussed was the players wanted to focus on that because, in an rpg, they knew that queer relationships weren't in danger of being played only for tragedy and could be a normal part of how these characters grew in the world.

We didn't do a lot of building of those relationships

When I was running for all lgbtq groups, romance started coming much more to the forefront of the games. The actual courtship and building of romance became a major part of those games.

If Sentinel Comics had more support for non combat stuff, it would have rocketed towards the top of my supers game of choice. Between how well it did combat and how it streamlined what the GM needed for enemies….so good

Get past the profanity and violence, and you'll find Dispatch doesn't have a single mean bone in its body.

It's less Invincible, and more Astro City.

Unironically, this is what I'm going to point to from now on when I talk about the core issue with the RPG scene. This is peak 'GMs are responsible for everything and subservient slaves to the players.'

Too many people wants the GM to provide the fun while they don’t do a damn thing to help anyone. Fuck that. Everyone has the responsibility to help everyone at the table have fun
