The only real solution to this is self-hosting my own email and unfortunately I don't know how to do it yet nor have the resources. I'd use messaging alternatives but an email is required for account creation to have a decent professional presence online. Is tricky. 2/2

Yeah, I was aware they also have the exact same points as Proton, but so far as I have seen, they are not trying to shove a VPN + 5 other services I don't care about, and they only have calendar down so far. My other options were Mail .com and the website is.. smth, and I don't trust Zoho at all 1/2

Man am I glad I left Proton's email services in the dust then! I wasn't confident in them with the pervasive adverts for the sub and VPN and their other services tied to their email. I am now using Tutanota, not sure if better, but less desperate for sure!

In brief terms, you need to imagine (or reference) where your strongest source of light is compared to your subject and, with understanding of how your subject behaves in 3D space, add highlights, penumbra and shadows. The 3D model you are referencing already shows you how the shadows behave!
