The vet said if it abscessed or something like that they'd look at removing it, but it's never done much besides get a little bigger over time. Due to her advanced age, there is no reason to put her through all that if it's not a problem

My late grandma's dog (who my parents adopted & looks a lot like your pupper) has one on her side that has pretty much been left alone. She's had it since she was like 14-15 (she's now 19), and her vet didn't see any reason to remove it cause it's not causing any issues besides being a lump
