You didn't happen to go into the churchyard of St. Mary's? I couldn't identify this tree when I visited it in the summer.

Hi David. It's simply called Belton Garden Centre. To the best of my knowledge, it has no present connection with the National Trust's Belton House. It may have been the site of the walled garden for the house.
