This little zine is nearly 40 years in the making — I made the photos in 1986, and a few years back decided to compile the photos into a zine.

Tom Banger wrote a wonderful essay to go along with the photos. And now, it's done, and I am happy to share it with you. Get your copy at the Impeller shop!

Last week I was looking up Maile Meloy’s short story collection “Both Ways Is The Only Way I Want It” and learned that Kelly Reichardt made a film (in 2016!) from several stories in that book. And what a cast! I watched the film and loved it, and I’m looking forward to rereading the stories.

Thinking about the words I choose as a printer and scribe. My pieces often speak about either the creative process or liberation. Or the power of creativity to liberate.

What about you? Do you notice any themes that show up for you in your work?
