a lot of my friends were just hadn't had a friend like me before. i am very physically affectionate for one but more so i was just ✨weird✨ and i think that aligned just enough of what they expected from a ✨quirky ✨ "girl" romance like they saw in the movies

Also if theres a scene you’re particularly excited about, iust write it down. It can be distracting to move try to build up to that scene when your brain just keeps replaying it, excited to write it… once its down it wont feel so overwhelming and you can always make changes later

My favorite method, personally, is the buddy system. I need someone to infodump and be excited about the project as much as i am so i have a friend to bounce off ideas, read whatever i put down, and to encourage me to keep going

Set a timer, say ten minutes and just WRITE. Whatever comes into your dome. Don’t delete anything and don’t think about it too much. When youre done, read it back and take note to what stood out to you that you want to build on.

There’s several recommendations. I usually start with an outline so i can get a rough idea of when i want event s to happen, what I aiming to accomplish in each chapter but also see where i need to add ✨flavor✨

You could also try stream of consciousness. This is closer to “just doing it”.
