In fairness, if I’d spent 18 months (and the rest) insisting a country could do no wrong, that its critics were all rabid bigots and that it deserved all the arms, materiel & money we could give, and then it eventually said, “Cheers, we’re gonna finally do Nakba II,” I’d start backpedaling too.
