Wouldn’t have to adapt at all if people locked in . Good article.

It’s going to be a HOT summer.
It’s already hot.

Ironically- one way to keep it more cool is to spend more time outside (cycling- walking- hiking)

Don’t be complaining about how hot summer is if you aren’t doing the bare minimum to combat climate change

I just wanna go take a nap on a rock in the sun

It’s so interesting to see how our ideas of beauty and wealth have changed over time.
Today in Australia’s History: Pleasingly Plump

Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and thought “I’d love to be five kilograms heavier”?

Well I can't say that I have.

But if you were a poor or working class person living in the 1920’s or 1930's, you may have been thinking this.

It’s really not hard to become more eco friendly. It’s actually easier in a lot of ways.

Sustainability is inaction. What do I mean? Well not buying things is inaction and sustainable. Not wasting your time on internet trends is inaction, also sustainable.
Save the planet - be lazy.

This is terrifying.

It’s up to us now. No data and no govt support. It is now up to us to act.

Use your library, influence your community, get to know your neighbors, start a grassroots movement towards climate sustainability.

We can do it without the government, only if we work together.

Climate change really doesn’t care if we talk about its existence, it will still hurt. Individual actions can’t fix climate change but if every individual takes action? Encourage your peers and your workplaces/schools to take action, because god knows that the government isn’t saving us this time.

“If we ignore the problem then it will go away” wtf
Excluding climate from US agriculture and forest policy/planning is a recipe for wildfire, rising temperatures, droughts, food shortages, and the outright destruction of carbon sinks critical to our survival. www.ecowatch.com/climate-chan...

The USDA has begun removing references to climate change on its webpages and sites, including the U.S. Forest Service website.

There is nothing that you want that you can not get second hand.
February 5, 2025 at 9:26 PM
It’s only dead if we give up on it.
1.5 degrees has passed, we need to claw with hands feet and teeth to stop the 2 degrees. Every tiny bit of carbon not in the atmosphere is better. Don’t rely on governments to save us. We need to save ourselves. The climate crisis is here, but it’s not too late.

Am I crazy or have there been a bunch more plane crashes recently??
January 26, 2025 at 4:28 AM
Can we just collectively agree to stop complaining and take action?

- climate change
- pollution
- the plastics crisis

Come on this isn’t going to fix itself!
January 20, 2025 at 11:13 PM
Remember- the us govt is ignoring their climate responsibilities.

This means that it is now our job to stop climate change.

Educate yourself, prepare for disasters, and do it in a climate conscious way.

Don’t forget about plastic pollution, and DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE PEOPLE MOST AFFECTED.

I keep getting messages asking my thoughts on seed oils…

Please go on any academic website ever and search for studies on this.

It’s not true! It’s fear mongering!

Literally getting driven crazy by the amount of misinformation and gullible people.

If anyone wants a link to studies lmk

Probably the best way I’ve seen this put. This analogy might just be perfect.
The climate crisis and climate change isn’t focused on enough at all.
I'm a believer in smart policy, but all the finger-pointing in the LA firestorm about hydrant flows and LAFD budgets seems like arguing about the adequacy of Hiroshima's 1945 building code standards. It's a way to evade the big questions.
January 10, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Hesitant to continue calling them “natural” disasters when it’s really caused and made worse by climate change.

The conspiracy theorists weren’t too far off with the “hurricane machine” and “government is starting the fires” junk.

They are, just indirectly, by not enacting climate laws.
January 10, 2025 at 7:01 AM
Terrifying. I pray people will stop focusing on the shallow causes and look to the deeper root. The climate crisis is here and now, we must open our eyes to fight it.
The wind gusts are devastating. Truly a hurricane of fire.

My heart goes out to those affected. Make sure you have your legal documents and a plan of escape. ❤️
For the rest of us: Remember that there wasn’t just one thing that caused the LA Fires. To an extent- we all did. Climate change is here and now, and we need to act quick before this is seen as easy.

I have this overwhelming feeling that I missed something. Like I missed my childhood and am so jealous of something I can’t experience.

Literally to the point of tears I miss being 8 years old and I wish I never grew up.

Life is too short because what do you mean I don’t have the time do do every little thing I can possibly think of this isn’t fair :(

A few days ago I got lulled to sleep by the thunderstorm so bad that I woke up to see that I had forgotten to shut my window and rain was blowing into the window only my carpet.

I don’t regret anything though because that sleep was amazing.
