I've found Drs can be reluctant to give a diagnosis when there isn't a cure/treatment - as they don't see the point. But in reality it is vital to know what's up! Knowing as much as we can about our body/brain makes a huge difference to how well we can manage our health.

I see the UK weather has kindly decided to make it a bit easier for me to transition back from my holiday in Greece. How thoughtful.

I have been trying to get an "urgent care" appointment at my GPs for two weeks.

There's still something weird about hearing "oh, you need an *urgent* appointment. We're all out of those, please try again next week.'

If you ask someone today to name the builder of Hadrian's Wall, they would give you a funny look. But historical memory is odd, and right up to the 1800s we forgot who built it.

Until in 1840 John Hodgson, an obscure Northumbrian clergyman, published the LONGEST footnote in history... 1/22

My team at work are creating a wall of team crushes. I refused to give them a name, so now they are all guessing who I might have a crush on, which is leading to some... interesting guesses. So far their top guess is Spock. Not sure what that says about me.
