It’s finished! A can size of crushed tomatoes fits inside to give you reference. At the moment, I think it’s going to be a display basket over the sliders. I can make room 😁 #basketry

Hi friends! I needed to pop in and say hello! I’ve missed everyone and wanted to come say hello 😊 Being offline has been rejuvenating mentally and spiritually. Here’s one of the projects I’ve started to relax my brain. I’m not sure what it will be, functional or decorative? #basketry

This has been going on for a few weeks. The Cormorants are working together to get fish and the seagulls are trying to get some of their catch. They move around the cove like a giant fishing net corralling the fish. #birds #CTShoreline

There’s a lot of tree work being done up the road and there’s a giant crane lifting cut wood out. I finished everything I needed to do and decided to go check it out.
This house was not visible before. Giant pine trees are being removed. A crane reaching over towards the end of the cove and its being used to lift cut logs out from behind that second house. Last year a big tree fell and completely crushed a shed on that property. I guess they don’t want a repeat or damage to the house. Smart! This is the stream that feeds into the cove. A lot of big trees have fallen across the stream and really close to that house where the giant pines are being taken down (not pictured but to the left). In the upper right is the tree that is currently being removed. It’s definitely leaning towards the house where that shed was crushed.
