At times it was hard and can be upsetting, however, it was always rewarding. I did 13 years but have underlying health issues and stopped during the pandemic.

I have been both a magistrate and a juror. I would choose a non jury trial every time. My experience is that a lot of jurors don’t want to be involved, don’t always understand either their role or the evidence and just want to get out and anything for a quick decision.
