This is Aiva. A city unlike the rest of the world. For as long as I've lived here, I’ve seen the ordinary becoming the extraordinary. Fountains pour into the sky only for the water to never return as if exiled from the earth, buildings age overnight as if unkept for thousands of years, creatures only read about in fantasy books are born from nothing. That’s not even the strange part of Aiva, I, nor anyone ever born here, have ever seen outside of this city. Buildings stretch across the horizon as if the ocean were covered in concrete and asphalt. Loved ones are swallowed into the air where they stand, and others have their dearest friends returned from death after years with new memories. I’ve longed for the security I’ve read about in books of other civilizations. A dream of peace, when I wake, my belongings remain, and the world remains unchanged. Where I can rest knowing my loved ones will be safe. I and the rest of the people of Aiva have never known this existence. Most have lost hope for one reason or another. Some say there is no road out of the city, no land unpaved, no river unbridged. I don’t. Stability a myth, tomorrow a mystery, Aiva a prison.

Andronika grew up in a war-torn world, where conflict was ever-present, and survival was a daily struggle. Amid the violence, she felt a strange disconnect from her own body. Her limbs didn’t feel like hers, as if they belonged to someone else. Everyday tasks became harder, and a constant discomfort plagued her. By 16, she heard whispers of advanced prosthetics—technology that could merge human flesh with machines. The idea of replacing her malfunctioning body parts with something stronger consumed her, but such technology was rare and tightly controlled by the military. Desperate to feel whole, Andronika joined a specialized military task force known for its experimental augmentation programs. She became the first test subject for the latest prosthetic technology. Her arms and legs were replaced with state-of-the-art mechanical limbs designed for combat. The new limbs enhanced her strength, speed, and agility, with advanced propulsion systems that made her nearly unstoppable. Her defenses were nearly impenetrable, but her body began to resist the prosthetics, slowly rejecting them in a battle of wills. Now, a living weapon, Andronika was thrown into live combat as the task force tested its innovations in real-world conditions. Though others might have balked at becoming a mere experiment, Andronika embraced her role, driven by the need to prove she could be more than human... and finally feel at home in her own skin. At 25, Andronika has transformed into a deadly force of nature, her mechanical limbs granting her the power and agility to fight in ways others could only dream of. Though the experiments and the constant battles came at a cost, she has finally found a sense of belonging in her body. The war rages on, but for Andronika, the real fight is one of self-discovery. a battle to feel whole and to never be weak again, no matter what sacrifices it takes.
