But in my experience, the challenges are not the kids. Kids are great and teaching can be super fun. Most important thing is to find a principal who shares your vision for the classroom. And it’s important to set boundaries and respect your own time.

Not at all. I was thinking about it when we were expecting our first kid because the work can be a little all-consuming. We had a sudden loss in our family, so that’s what finally pushed me out.

I also wonder, for most of the “we told you so,” crowd, how likely they are to be affected by admin policies. Do they live in red states? Are they in danger of major weather events? Are they receiving social services? Are they undocumented? I would guess that very few would answer “yes.”

I’d be a little disappointed. If they want to rebuild, getting another young wing to pair with Keegan seems like the best option.
