I owed $200k+ after SUV hit me on my motorcycle head on. His fault. I had no health insurance and only got $100k from his. Hosp. got 1/3, lawyer got 1/3 and I got $33k to pay all my hospital bills. I paid them all off but it took awhile. You'd think my vehicle insurance would help, but it doesn't.
