Great episode. I was really excited that Klaus Mann got a mention since my wife is reading his memoirs. I thought "this is the episode I really get her into IBWTR"...but then Moira goes and disses the whole french nation 🤦‍♂️😂

That's funny. It supports my theory that if in a Maths test you're not sure of the answer, try 7.

Always been an asshole. Better late than never.
Should get himself a european EV. They look better, they're more fun and they don't have the off-centre ugly rear view camera sticking out of those poorly engineered Teslas.

Dworkin is on my to-read list. If only to check if any "hot take" can be made in reference to how Boglin names were chosen

As a millennial male I can safely say I’ve not been tempted by the dumb big chain at all. My own personal midlife crisis involved buying an empowering and colourful designer cardigan from Vinted - only to almost vomit by how ugly it was on arrival. Lesson very much learnt. Stomach still churning.

Cat’s Cradle by Vonnegut. It’s just so funny and a perfect satire of humanity’s frailties and weaknesses.

They’re great ! Although I find the earlier ones slightly better. I’m more a fan of her science fiction. The Left Hand of Darkness blew my mind.

Just put Snow Crash - been finding it too close to present events for comfort

So many options. Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about Stephenson’s Snowcrash, given the threat of extreme deregulation and libertarianism
