We can now automatically have our heat pump turn on when we have solar power (and need heat), and off when the sun sets. It's 100% carbon-free winter heat, and summer cooling! Thanks to Home Assistant (our open source home automation device) and the Gree HVAC "integration" (i.e. software add on).
