i dont even think people are being intentionally malicious 75% of the time. esp on sites like twitter where everything is algorithm and interaction centric its easy for this shit to snowball. lots of social media these days are designed to facilitate "discourse" by any means possible

im biased in this matter specifically so maybe i cant speak but it rlly is odd. people weaponizing their discomfort against the weakest of society.
