"Absurd" and "mean-spirited" sound like pretty mild criticism in this context, when you're referring to kidnapping, illegal imprisonment, and rapidly escalating the transformation of the United States into a dictatorship by defying the order of the highest court in the land.

Beautiful article, you articulate so well how so many of us feel. I also brought my football-crazy, 9-year-old, non-Evertonian son home (from Costa Rica) just so he could experience Goodison once before it's gone...and he also cheered like mad when we scored (Beto's last minute equaliser vs Fulham).
