I am VERY excited to read this and it arrived this morning just after i had opened and set out some Fast and Furious coasters from a friend ! Lolol so it was the perfect literal and proverbial bookend to my birthday! Can’t wait to crack into it. And I love your signature note that was delightful.

I want to say an absolutely humongous thank you & shout of appreciation for the camaraderie and kindness of @hertzbarry.bsky.social for this incredible piece of cinematic media!!! Internet fandoms are a #family of their own special magnitude, & i will never stop being incredulous about that fact.

Idk how to explain it, but my dog is both a 3 years old canine and somehow also an 87 year old retired grandpa.

When you’re a service doggo with lots of public skills but basically your mom only goes to bookstores and coffee shops to “get an anxiety treat” so that’s why you immediately know it’s nap time and look so comfortable in all of them for pictures time

I absolutely adored the GDT Frankenstein but I also have such a soft spot for the Karloff incarnation of Creature and he’s now finally back in the collection of mini art illustrations 🫶🥹

There’s nothing I love more than losing myself in a Guillermo Del Toro movie and I aspire to make a house as cool as his filled with spook movies and literature and collectibles.

Bartholomew Trombones is currently renovating aforementioned mansion. The professional painters just finished today. New furniture will arrive when the bank clears his very massive check.

Meet one Mister Bartholomew Bones, Casino Owner and Intellectual. He made his great fortune on his casino business and now he collects fine art.

He lives in this abandoned NJ mansion since before his death. No one else could afford to buy it, even derelict, because housing market in NJ is obscene.

Life continues to punch me in the gut full force, but hey here’s some absolute garbage postures my dog chose to sit in this week during her daily window sessions:

Thank heavens for fellow artist friends. I couldn’t find my original brand of card protectors so a pal recommended these UVA/UVB blocking ones with sleeves. They’re not as rigid as the old ones, but they’re pretty good quality.

I recently picked up some books on botanical drawings and floral illustration. While I never read books like this as a cover-to-cover text book, flipping through looking for specific skills is definitely going to do well. Here’s a tulip I doodled from next to no reference but shapes on a tutorial.

Practicing casual sketches of wildflowers in my colorful sketchbook with some spare pencils I bought to test out (they’re not suitable for my type of regular art, but great for sketches and such!)

Pencils are Royal Talens Van Gogh
Sketchbook is from Ugly Books

Hello, if you are an artist or illustrator who use colored pencils, did you know that Prismacolor’s lightfast rating with ASTM expired? Because I sure didn’t until I went to buy a new refill set. Only certain pigments in their line are still considered such.

Not my finest book photography by any stretch of the imagination, but these two books back to back has given me such whiplash from the slap across the face. They’re brilliant and 100% must-reads in the current day and age before books like this are outright banned.

Hello FilmSky and Booksky! Are you a Twiligjt fan 🐀 !?

My very creative friends have done wonderful things for you. Firstly I’d like to shout about @sarahelizabeth327.bsky.social who wrote “Why We Love (and Hate) Twilight” and then we have my pal at Arlow & Co who makes Twilight dog bandanas!
