Annual trip into tweedsmuur Park, 2 hour drive and 80 kms boat ride. This is the return back to boat launch. Lots of rainbow trout caught but no double digits this year, last year there were at least 10 from 10 to 12 lbs.

I have been so busy getting my boat fixed up I haven't had time to post here. Pulled the pulpit off and rebuilt it from the inside out. Power is out so I have time to post, tomorrow it's drilling holes and epoxying them so this never has to be done again. Old boat love takes a lot of time.

Well fire season is here again and there's so much blow down behind the house it's time to pile up wood and burn it before the woods dry up too much. All it takes to start a fire is breaking branches with some old mans beard and a match and it takes off.

Scary summer incoming.

Missing summer and boating right now, knee deep into wrenching the sleds, hoping for snow so I can get back out boating in the summer. Definitely not enough snow right now and it's worrying for fire season.

Thankfully my youngest and I had pulled a young bull out of the same area two weeks prior. Lots of work and taking a 14 foot tinner across a 6km crossing, last trip out the waves were a couple feet high and the last 5 minutes it was capping but I've spent my life on that lake and know it well.

We had to boat across a reservoir and then we setup a nice shelter out of driftwood and canvass tarps. Temps were -5°C overnight and freezing during the day. Saw some nice tracks, including grizzly sow and cub as well as some wolf tracks which had pushed the moose out of the area.

Apologies to all the sledders out there, widened my plow and did some other work so now it's not snowing.
