Lastly - you never know what happens when you show up! I spoke at this committee meeting - youtu.be/-812l2AS6aA?... - not as an expert on housing, but as a regular Torontonian telling Council that I want more housing in my city. Your voice matters and has power - use it.

There is no other human right - not water, not food, not clean air, not safety, not healthcare - where this level of fierce public resistance to providing it is considered acceptable. No matter what @toronto.ca council decides today, we can do much, much better than this in Toronto.

As I said on air - real estate is an asset class, housing is a human right, and too often we prioritize the former over the latter.

3 minutes on air goes by quick, but some core points:

1. more housing = a more affordable and ethical city
2. we don't dream of picket fences, but of a life with community and without cars - multiplexes help with that
3. no one should be forced out of Toronto because they can't afford housing
