Our podcast app Metacast has just crossed $1,000 in total revenue! We're bootstrapped. Revenue, savings and spouse's income is how we pay the bills.

If you're a paying customer, huge thank you! If you haven't tried the app yet, try it now at metacast.app

We've just made podcast sharing a tad cooler. When you share a podcast on social media, the snippet is short and sweet. We only display what is necessary - the cover, the title and the sexy blur behind the image.

Every bootstrapped founder should read the email we received today. It made my day. I get goosebumps every time I'm re-reading it. Share this with someone who needs to hear a word of encouragement.

I saw a pickup truck by Mercedes (a collab with Nissan) and it got me wondering what would a pickup truck from BMW or Lamborghini look like… see 🧵

Falling in Reverse and Ronnie Radke are so good!

Only learned about them last year when they opened for Avenged Sevenfold in Palm Beach. Immediately became a fan when they sang “Voices in my head.”

It’s like Limp Bizkit, but for the 2020s.

How cool is this? X-Ray on Kindle uses the context to display highly relevant information!

It could’ve picked a generic use for the word “imperative” but it picked the use as it relates to programming, because I’m (re)reading The Pragmatic Programmer.

Today's news - a monster pull request. All in a day's work!

@arnab.metacast.app good luck reviewing! If you have questions, I'm AFK.

It seems like a spam technique where the original post mentions a bunch of people (you and me among many others probably), then it gets removed but we’re still receiving “replies”. I’ve seen this in Instagram comments before.

I’m guilty of pushing for changes like you’ve described too. We even have one of those in Metacast, which I eventually had to create a toggle for because some users (including me eventually!) were confused…

Oh this one is definitely a big one! In beta now.

I am guilty of assuming features are easy to build if I _feel like_ they're easy to build.

Sometimes I even go so far as to tell @arnab.metacast.app that "Let's do it! It should be easy, right? Right?"

Never again! 🧵

Steve Jobs famously said that you can't cut your way to growth.

Clearly, he wasn't a programmer.

We've just ripped out an error-prone and expensive workflow from Metacast. The app is now better, faster and cheaper to run!

This is not a huge amount by any means, but any incoming revenue is a signal that we're doing something people want and are ready to pay for!

On the flip side, this covers 2 months of @vercel.com subscription for our website!
