This is the kind of card that would make me want to play Green. Pair it with Gaea’s Cradle, Shifting Woodland, Strip Mine. You name it.

The game is rich enough in card diversity that players can play through combos in Split Second and they can just use Split Second as another Silence effect.

Everytime I watch a short from @veggiewagon.bsky.social and read the comments section, it makes me think when people said “White cards suck” way back when.

Seems like it had more to do with people not knowing how White cards worked versus them actually sucking.

Gilgamesh from FFV, or the version from FFXIII wielding 6 guns, or the version from FFXV with one arm, and—last but not least—the big ass Adamantoise from FFXV lmao:

You can shortcut this a bit by running Rest In Peace instead of Relic of Progenitus and now you'll be able to draw cards at 1 mana from Ashnod's Altar!

Land Equilibrium should be Bracket 4. This is potentially worse than Limited Resources, especially when played early. Ward of Bones is similar but you can circumvent it by "putting" lands into play ("put" =/= "play"). Equilibrium does not have that loophole.

I debated this with @veggiewagon.bsky.social, but I think Disciple of Caelus Nin should not be in Bracket 1. This is a "fixed" Limited Resources because you can recover your lands by killing this, but I think that's cherry-picking when Realm Razer and Urza's Sylex are Bracket 4.

Magus of the Balance and Restore Balance are both Bracket 1, but we have seen the play patterns for Balance-like effects be notorious at denying players of their mana--especially in haphazard situations where these cards will force players to be as mana-screwed as the most mana-screwed player.

Razia's Purification is Bracket 4 on your site. At 6 mana, players must choose 3 permanents and sacrifice the rest. Balancing Act can be a very efficient version of that same effect, especially if one player is very far behind.

This seems almost a no-brainer because of the ultimate. I guess you can argue that your opponent would have sufficient time to deal with this before it goes off, but I feel like that's against the spirit of Bracket 1. At Bracket 1, they should not even have to consider the threat of an MLD.

I’m not a fan of quoting fallacies, but the Star Wars community reminds me of a lot of this:

Worldpurge is another good example of this. It’s currently not being flagged when you put it in a Bracket 1 deck.
February 14, 2025 at 10:22 AM
Hey @moxfield.com, while building a Bracket 1 deck using your system, I realize it’s not catching Soulscour.

Soulscour should be a Mass Land Denial card. I think you can catch it if your algorithm looks for “Destroy/Exile/Return all Permanents” texts that don’t also contain the word “nonland”.
February 14, 2025 at 9:52 AM
Field of the Dead is something you could add in a Bracket 1 or 2 deck with land tutors (since tutoring for lands are not considered real tutors here). What’s worse is because of Bracket 1 and 2 expectations, there will be no interaction against Field of the Dead running away with the game.

Yes

Also, though I don’t know when anyone would do this, you can’t use LED to pay for Ghostly Prison, even though it is a mana ability.

You can activate LED anytime you could cast an instant. You can’t cast instants as you are declaring attacks because no one has priority while you declare attacks.
