American Woman in Arlington
@iluvamerica0704.bsky.social
Mom of two teenage boys. Pro-market, pro-democracy, pro-thinking, pro-voting. Catholic. Don’t need to identify with a political party.

Reasoned deliberative solutions are superior to knee-jerk reactions or nonaction.
Michigan fan here. Very disappointed in Coach Moore. I expect better from the next coach. I feel for his assistant and his wife and I hope everyone gets the help they need.

As for the players, I hope they can focus on football and stay out of the drama.

I think the school board chair has a child at Arlington Tech, so the Arlington Tech parents should have good access to her.

Th baby Jesus doesn’t appear in Catholic Nativity scenes until Christmas, so the only alteration is the sign.

I don’t have relatives who were Freemasons. However, I know enough history to know that many founding fathers (incl. Washington) were Freemasons and L’Enfant, who designed DC, was a Freemason.

His actions don’t align with his words.

I agree it sounds like The Onion, which has a much harder time lately coming up with headlines that are more absurd than reality.

Pardon?

You would think that a lawyer would know the Constitutional difference between a court of law and the court of public opinion. The presumption of innocence relates to a court of law. Public opinion has no presumption under the Constitution.

Agreed. He also said he intends to keep trying to bring people together toward our common problems, which made me wonder why he is a Republican in this time period. Does he agree with any of the “priorities” of the current administration?

Did they steal this idea from Arlington, VA or did Arlington steal it from them? Or, neither - they both stole it from someone else?

I had the same thought.

This is very scary.

Strange that they would spend this much time on something without an articulated problem. Is the problem related to math achievement? That was the one area where the article suggests that meeting everyday was beneficial? Or, is this a normal assessment of how things are working?

It’s over half of Republicans surveyed.

Can you think of a bette way to come out as corrupt?

Many people fail to see how socialist some of Trump’s policies are and I’m sure Mamdani is not as socialist as he is portrayed.

Their actions do not reflect the teachings of Jesus. That is what makes them not Christians, no matter how they may identify themselves.

I see a similarity in your bias toward Christians as the bias bigots have toward Muslims.

I’m not shitting on him either. He needed one to deal with the fact that 40% of the populace he was leading was in a cult.

He needs it for a different reason. A psychologist/psychiatrist on staff at the White House could have different focuses depending on the inhabitants.

Maybe a creative person can find a way to name the snow plows after county board members.
