Disabled Enby, 24 and making it one day at a time. Video Games, Health Advocacy and random ramblings knock around my head like ping pong balls.

I classify my AuDHD as a disability because WITHOUT the treatment I receive, it would affect me far more than it does now that I have help. High School me was crying daily and struggling to process everything going on around me. Now I'm working FT and giving interviews for TV. It's lifechanging.

If that's not you, that's wonderful. But many people with these conditions feel the challenges and significant impact of their disability every single day. And the disability classification is absolutely essential for them.

Disability is not about identity. It’s about ensuring that the systems in place recognize these conditions for what they are so people who need support and accommodations can get them.

Something that exists to ensure people can access support, accommodations, and protections.

Saying that ADHD and autism are disabilities isn’t saying someone with them has to IDENTIFY as disabled.

I happen to just do an interview with CBS Evening News about this. A lot of it got cut - but I'm trying to use my voice as much as I can so that more eyes can get on this. This is devastating for us with disabilites that rely on Medicaid to survive

It literally is 🤦🏾‍♀️ It affects my job daily! I have had horrible handwriting my whole life due to hEDS making my fingers like noodles. If I had someone notice and actually talk to my parents about it maybe I coulda gotten diagnosed sooner. I've had to teach myself and thankfully am A LOT better now!
