Congrats are definitely in order. Well deserved. I'm working on my new Bachelor's thesis to become a better (paid) librarian and this has been a welcome respite. I'm currently through chapter 11 and have definitely enjoyed the book so far, even though I'm more #strictscrutiny than #RHAP.

I'd say it is the same with ADD/ADHD. Diagnosed cases are one thing, but I think I/my SO/my child etc. has ADHD, because XYZ is a common saying. Especially for the kids. So focus and the lack thereof alone are seen as diagnostic.

I don't think it can be fixed. You need to fix the consumers of the information. I've pushed some creators to, instead of promoting the correct information, teach their audience how to fact check the information they consume. Many think they fact check, but the sources they trust are...

I've studied "religion" for full twelve years back in the day. While I wouldn't condone religious practice in school (which is illegal) I'm actually a huge proponent of teaching a worldview and ethics subject, that covers faiths of the world. Currently kids are divided based on their (non-)religion.

It'll be fine said Stalin, when he got rid of a bunch of generals prior to WWII and promptly went on to struggle as their strategy knowledge got eroded in the process. Just needed to lose a bunch of soldiers learning it again.
