it's just a rubberband that makes the ai "learning" (read: automated tracing algorithm) struggle to copy your artstyle. you're correct in that it won't ever stop ppl hellbent on art theft. think of it as like putting your username tag in an inconvenient spot, it just makes clean stealing harder

if it only works when GPU's disabled, then it's heavily likely a dying gpu unfortunately.

try to uninstall and reinstall gpu drivers in the offshoot chance that it didnt actually die yet and its just gpu driver acting quirky (make a backup if possible as well)
