In 2016 Trump said China is paying us billions of dollars since he imposed the China tariffs but the money from tariffs are collected from the IMPORTERS who bring foreign goods into the country so it is the importers that are paying this tax. This is good for the Goose.

I find it interesting that the local politicians decry Biden economics but don't ever suggest lowering the sales tax. They just find more ways to spend the windfall.

Let's not overlok the markup %. Everbody marks up everything to cover costs and apply a profit margin so if a widget cost $1.00 and the markup is 20% the retail price is (you guessed it) $1.20. If the widget now costs $2.00 and the markup stays at 20%, well you get the idea.
