Go back to twitter mate. Smallwood's been one of the best midfielders in the league by most metrics this season.

Corners are the least effective set piece, there was some great research a few years back that showed that only around 2% of corners result in a goal.

17 goals last season playing in the third tier and Brünker got 15... Never write a player off.

It's nice to have a game where we aren't terrified of losing against a crap team and the fans turning. Should be a great measure of where the squad is, no shame if we don't come out on top. #bcafc

I get 8 players (Evans will be gone you'd assume) for 4 positions, think the plan is to stick with 3-4-3 from here so we have two central midfield and two attacking midfield/inside forward/winger positions.

Looks strong.

Walker is in pretty poor form unfortunately, letting in goals that he should be saving (like today...) 4th worst in the league for goals prevented. His overall save percentage is mid-table.

Before the game I found out Swindon had the fewest shots on target per match in League Two. So not hugely surprising

But, shutting them out completely is really impressive nonetheless. I can only remember a handful of games where the opposition had no shots on target.

Hello! It's still quite nice here.

City have consistently advertised jobs at well below market rate.

When advertising for a "Media & PR Manager" in September, (presumably the one who should've stopped the £1.50 gaffe) they stated the pay is "Competitive" which means "If we told you the pay, you wouldn't apply"

If you pay peanuts...

I'm a broken record on this, but the club is worth nothing until we own the stadium again. Can't even talk about outside investment until there's something to buy... #bcafc

They can't take the position that 'Killing Birds for Human Pleasure' is wrong. That don't want to argue against the Christmas Turkey, the chicken nuggets and upset donors...

RSPB believe that birds exist so that we can enjoy looking at the pretty ones. Not that they have any inherent right to live.

In the UK the wholesale cost of energy is set by the most expensive energy source that goes into the grid.

So even though nuclear or renewables cost a fraction of LNG, consumers pay (and producers receive) the unit rate for that LNG.

Truly awful system.

I think that the hard pill to swallow is that almost every season, for almost every team, ends in disappointment.

Expecting success is a fool's errand.

City are undoubtedly a better run club now than they were under Edin, but not even a 30 goal a season striker guarantees promotion.

I thought Spire would be my no.1 before playing.

The world is evocative, the character classes and abilities are so fresh and give so much space for great decisions.

But not all my group were politically literate enough to engage with the more difficult themes sadly.

Some Reasons Wildsea takes no.1:

-Character creation that asks great questions.
- Beautiful art & setting.
-'Whispers' allow everyone to be so creative, I was always taken by surprise in how my players used them
-Mushroom people. Designers, more mushrooms please.

My favourite thing is that "FamousBirthdays.com" doesn't require that they actually know a persons birthday to make a profile on them...

Graham set the team up to not lose. Trying to turn the away form round. He came within a minute of achieving that.

Players let him down.

The (anti)football was absolutely awful to watch though. We should be able to play football and win against teams like Colchester.

Definitely easy to get caught up in the emotion....When I think back to some of our best away performances last season like Wrexham or Gillingham. We let them have most of the ball but still managed to create a number of chances. I can't believe I'm saying this but how much are we missing Gilliead?
November 17, 2024 at 11:31 AM
I think a few people were expecting us to run away with the league this season after some strong recruitment. It is a 'weaker' divison than last year but as you say, to have performed so well in so many games without our 'first choice' defence or midfield fills me with confidence.

I'm sure the discourse will be better over here, but have we got a solution for line-ups on a match-day or news of away tickets going on sale? I only ever seem to find out about through twitter...
