Parchment colored background with a handwritten-style font scrawled across the top part of the page: "The Fade" is what they called it. In school, they said it was caused by all the things that plagued the old world. Beneath the text is an image of a modern handgun, a wad of multiple hundred dollar bills rubber banded together(a poodle furry's head on the bills), drops of blood, a tiny bag of yellowish powder alluding that it's something similar to heroin, a cut straw, colorful morphine capsules, and pink oblong pills, one of which is broken in half, one half crushed into a line ready to be snorted. Across this combination of imagery are the words apathy, greed, corruption, addiction, struggle, which "struggle" appearing slightly larger than the rest. The second half of the page has the handwritten font saying "Others say it was when Dog died, and we're the ones left behind, since there's only 10 percent of the population there used to be... Below the text are 3 colored sillhouettes, a green cat furry, an orange rat furry, and a blue dog furry, standing in an open space, interspersed with shadows on the ground representing the 90 percent of the population that used to exist. Below the vague figured is handwritten font saying "but I don't know..."

there is a crooked rectangular comic panel in the top quarter of the page, it's a close up of a light grey rat girl's hands as she writes in a journal while in bed, bandages around her wrists. The pencil she uses isn't modern, but a carved piece of wood with a stick of charcoal in it. Behind the panel, the rest of the page is beige parchment paper. In the left upper corner, there are large circles with smaller ones descending in front of them, until the second to last has an orange glow around it. From the smallest circle, there is a sketchy, scribbled path winding to the right bottom corner, where a cliff ledge is depicted. The road drops into dark scribbles. Across the parchment part of the page are the words in a hand-written style font "Before I was ever born, the world fell apart. There was no apocalyptic event, no great catastrophe. Just a natural conclusion to the path we were on"
