all this, plus i believe investors broadly are holding back on investing in productions because of tariff uncertainty. i also believe the nebulous threat of AI reducing creative work needs is being used as a smokescreen to massively increase outsourcing

just wanted to validate this feeling bc I also feel it hard. I've moved a lot simply as a consequence of [where i grew up]>school>work>partner/life changes, and each time it feels like i'm shedding my social circle. keeping up with people long distance AND making new friends is work, and it sucks! 🫂
