Guy Pearce is at least a fascinating actor, though, and Shane Black's always good for at least a few good lines, so maybe that helps to swallow the bitter pill a bit?

Strange Venn Diagrams, although I'm sure @flebpuzzles.bsky.social is already working on something much cooler as a Strange Jigsaws follow-up.

At the same time, and also each of you are playing one of the others. I'm sure you do a mean Ali Wong.

The only recommendation I'd make is that a themed bundle would be better off not including multiple games from the same franchise--i.e., System Shock AND System Shock 2. One's enough to let people decide if they want to go further down that rabbit hole! (That said, they are at different tiers.)

I want to be clear, too, that I acknowledge that it does not require equal effort from person to person to do that social/emotional work. But my patience and respect is contingent on someone TRYING, at whatever level they're capable. I don't appreciate someone putting all the work on me.

Two other observations as the parent of a four-year-old:

(1) Being proud of your child should not be conditional on him being good at something.

(2) "Mastery," especially at the Pre-K level, is meaningless. I want my kid to know that he can always keep working to learn more. Stay curious!

Lemme tell you, when I'm driving through cloudy weather and I can't see, I don't have a shit-eating grin on my face; I'm more cautious and white-knuckled.

- You could have an entirely new James Bond; it could *just* be a title, like 007.

Like, I don't understand how you can have this little imagination or creativity and call yourself a novelist.

- You could cut twenty, thirty years into the future and have Bond's daughter take up his name.

- You could have Bond standing on an escape hatch that somehow drops him right before the missile hits and keeps him safe, but he has to stay in Oldboy-like isolation for years until a cure is found.

I know I've encountered this before in looping visual novels, like the Nonary Games.

And in terms of something I'd *like* to have: a dedicated scene/chapter/mission select so that I can replay content without having to replay the entire game.

I'm assuming it was just some amalgamation of "Oscar Isaac is playing a scientist" and "he's killed by something he's studying." I'd have to rewatch Annihilation to see if there's something more to it than that; probably a good idea anyway.

I saw a meme earlier that noted he seems to do this every three to four years, including 2015's Annihilation and (stretcher) 2021's Dune.
