Committed European and hates Brexit and it’s narrow nationlism. Retired teacher, left of centre and lifelong Labour supporter but not liking Starmer’s policies and now more inclined to support the Lib Dems.
Just one more step on the road to state control and repression. Starmer doesn’t trust jurors not to find protesters not guilty.

Whatever happened to the Russia Report and which Prime Minister went on to party with Russian oligarchs after making sure his security detail stayed at home?

It’s a cunning plan. Trump is going to declare Saudi Arabia as the 51st state of the US.

So who determines this? If a family is established and has children born here who only know UK do you uproot them again?

In what world is creating a system where a family is continually subject to the threat of being returned to the country they fled ‘ treating people with compassion’.

I voted for Starmer as member of the Labour Party. He lied about his intentions at the hustings to gain the support of people like me. The pandering to the right on immigration and benefits sickens me and I have since left the Labour Party and joined the Greens.

Trump would expect you to kneel.
November 17, 2025 at 5:51 PM
This is not a Labour government or at least not one that most of would recognise as Labour.

She is certainly burning her boats with UK. Perhaps she hasn’t noticed that Trump’s unpopularity in the UK almost matches hers.
November 17, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Perhaps if the BBC and other media didn’t constantly platform Farage, giving the impression that he is some kind of ordinary bloke without ever seriously questioning his policies, they might not be riding so high in the polls.
November 17, 2025 at 9:40 AM
That a so called Labour Party could even contemplate such a policy shows how far some of the Labour leadership has lost touch with its socialist principles. I am sure that the majority of Labour MPs despise these policies and they must surely oust the current leadership.

Not doing what?
November 14, 2025 at 11:28 PM
They are too stupid to recognise the hypocrisy of the march.
November 14, 2025 at 7:29 PM
It’s just sensible people acknowledging the idiocy of Brexit.
November 14, 2025 at 7:04 PM
But didn’t someone say that it is the smart thing to do to dodge taxes and the draft.
November 14, 2025 at 7:02 PM
As a lifelong Labour supporter I find it difficult to support any government which seeks to suppress protest by branding them a terrorist organisation when they have failed to provide any evidence of terrorist acts. All this while falling to call out genocide.
November 14, 2025 at 6:59 PM
The problem is that it also seems to be turning in Reforms favour.
November 14, 2025 at 6:50 PM
As a newly qualified teacher I remember I could barely afford to live. I was beaten up on the streets of Liverpool by a gang of thugs and I witnessed what looked like a punishment beating with a man left severely injured in the gutter. So much for safe streets.
November 14, 2025 at 6:36 PM
At least the BBC hasn’t caved.
November 13, 2025 at 9:50 PM
This should have been done in Gaza.
November 11, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Progressive parties need to highlight Farage’s connections to Trump and the far right at every opportunity. Trump is unpopular with the British public and the sight of Farage fawning over him must be major point of attack on Reform.
