but maybe the everyone else already out-paternalized you by deceptively presenting as being less in favor of paternalism than you so that you draw this conclusion and do the thinking for them. by outsourcing their work, they pre-paternalized you, set you up. you must now think harder.

appreciate that. i won't be posting, but i may be commenting and collecting information here and there... we don't know each other, but i have been reading/listening to most of your publically available contributions, learning a lot.

but of course, iff a rigid rigid designator rigidly designates a rigid designator a 'rigid designator', but only then. if a flexible designator disrupts a rigid rigid designator rigidly designating a rigid designator as a 'rigid designator', all hell breaks loose, (p)unintended.

only those who rigidly rigidly designate are the true rigid designators

i guessed, but maybe you remember lance bush mentioning that he experiences this all the time in academia from moral realists, so it exists even there. otoh it's salient & not all ppl accept the meta-applied distinction or hold certain meta-applied pairs of views incompatible.

bc if the host humiliates or further outrages/irritates the guest, that's prob. counterproductive. just say quickly why it's wrong on your view and/or establish bad faith & move on.

it's a common strategy used by many moral realists. i think it's clearly more charitable than assuming that he asked because he thinks it's ok. desperate people saturated with narrativized 'meaning' reason in a hysterical, bombastic, atrocious way. i'd rather short-circuit in this context.
November 16, 2025 at 10:14 PM
more charitably, he didn't think child rape is ok, but wanted to steer the conversation towards 'grounding' morality and suggesting some form of moral realism. it's a common rhetorical move. he prob. assumed that the host isn't a moral realist and then he'd trounce on his fake & gay metaethics.

capitalist/right wing ideology constantly tends towards The Secret in explaining asymmetries in outcomes in everything.

if the moral law is objectively compelling, it'd seem that everyone who behaves immorally just didn't understand it, so is it impossible to both understand it & act immorally?
October 20, 2025 at 6:48 PM
idek how to parse this! i'lltry! there's a distinct kind of 'moral' information that exists perspective/language/theory-independently in some separate realm or embedded into 'the universe', that compels everyone, controls or somehow necessitates which states of affairs 'should' exist/are good/bad?

i'd rather have this until it's criminalized & culture is idiotically cruelly anti-suicide. it's not how i'd design the euthanasia/assisted suicide system, but i think it's way better than only mis/disinformation & obnoxious anti-suicide propaganda being the most easily & voluminously available.
August 27, 2025 at 8:15 PM
that line sounds goofy but what's wrong if there's accurate information available about peaceful suicide methods? i'm seriously asking! most places criminalize suicide. that seems idiotically cruel to me. why support autonomy only insofar as it doesn't frustrate replicator ideologies?

watch their "Tract" series for their ideology. it's less engineered for memetic spread than their normal slop and it lays out the ideology they created from abrahamic religions, block-universe fatalism, chosen people mythology and intergalactic empire-building. it's called "techno-puritanism".

i think that not knowing any cause is entirely consistent with causal determinism. i also happen to not believe causes exist, nor that it makes sense to say that thought processes are logical.
