Nobody has ever picked up a drink coaster thinking it was a piece of pie.

Oreos? Fine with milk, "eh" without. Peanut butter cookies? Fine, at best. Sugar cookies? Mediocre. Then you get into the Chips Ahoy realm of "barely eatable," and eventually totally crumb-y, dusty, inedible nonsense.

You want to talk a dessert with a ceiling of "fine" and a median of "bad?" You are talking about cookies, my friend.

Fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies break the curve as "delightful," but other than that, you're talking "fine" through "mediocre," followed by a *very* steep dive into "bad."

The person who invented cake, taking it out of the oven and tasting it: "mmm...well, that could be better...maybe if I slather some *more* sugar on it?"

The person who invented pie, taking it out of the oven and tasting it:

And I haven't even made my way over to savory pies yet. Pot pies, of course, and hand pies, mm yes. But you know what's also a savory pie? PIZZA, MY FRIEND. Modern ambrosia. Have you ever had a truly bad pizza? CHECKMATE

You're gonna sit here, on Beyonce's internet, and tell me that lemon meringue, key lime, pumpkin, apple, chess, coconut cream, chocolate cream, banana cream, pecan, and peach pies are *all* as good or worse than a basic, moist confetti cake (the most "fine" dessert)?

I don't honestly think I've ever had a truly *bad* pie. The median pie (apple) is better than all but the best cake (german chocolate). The worst pie (sweet potato) is still better than the best bad dessert (angel food cake).

It seems like a sentence I'm writing more and more often: "they're already up to enough horrible things that we can prove, we don't need to make up anything."

I dunno. I've been a software engineer for five years and a web developer for ten years before that, and even still server networking code is kind of just magic I try not to touch.

As for the three static files...I think I can envision how one file might time out and cause problems even while the page technically loads. But it also could just be some weird glitch on desktop Firefox that I'm not running into.

2. As a contra-example, my Firefox (Android 144.0.2) works great. Seems like it's getting hammered right now, maybe it's having trouble with dependencies?
