Currently editing book two in my first thriller trilogy. Drafting my first Romance novel as well.

I finished a draft. Shared the writing. And now a little stress baking. The dough was a bit different this time but pizza from scratch is always fun. 🍕

Awww. 🥰

The author copies came in today. I immediately texted a fellow stuntwoman about the words that inspired this poem. That day I’d texted her about watching sunsets, stars, and listening to the waves. She said, “those make the best companions.” That phrase inspired these words.

It’s been a rough go lately. This is a gentle reminder to be nice to speak to yourself with kindness.

I promised myself I’d post a poem a day. Today this one resonates 🩵

The trip that inspired these words took a wild turn. The gps decided to reroute itself. I ended up on roads in small towns where not much had changed. 📜📚

Chicago is truly a beautiful city. I always stop to marvel at this bridge. That day the rain finally gave us a break. That day I captured the flags dancing in the wind.

With the work of my brother, and a lovely artist, this photo became the cover.

Treating this pass like a semester final paper. Making meals that are easy to assemble and powering through. #editing #quickmeals

And so happy “Albany Road” is out in the world. This was a great cast and crew. Listening to Lynn Whitfield and Christine Swanson talk about story lit a fire under under me. I’ll never forget this shoot as long as I live 🩵🚗

I took a break from editing the thriller. Ended up on a poetry side quest. I don’t understand why my brain does this but here we are.

Definitely did finish the journey from rough draft to first draft. That is my win for February.

Took a few days off of writing a bit of self care. Randomly thought of these characters. I miss seeing this duo on screen. #inspo

The current chapter heading is Chapter 99 Red Balloons. It is 57 pages. I think I was attempting to finish NaNoWrimo. Anyway, write on. #editing #roughdraft #writing
