18 years ago I left a defense job to work for a small tech company. My dad thought it was a bad idea. Got laid off 4 months in.
When I told him I was laid off (along w/ 3/4 of the office) he started yelling at me to go back to my previous employer.
That was the day I stopped telling my parents shit.
